Buddy Dixon, 86, of French Lick, passed away August 7, 2020 at his home. He was born May 29, 1934 in Paoli, to parents, Ed & Lois (Eickelberger) Dixon. He married Joyce (Beaty) Dixon on July 20, 1952. She passed away November 5, 1984. Buddy then married LaVerne (Walters) Dixon on July 19, 1986. Buddy worked as a meat cutter for A&P & retired from JayC Foods. He attended Mt. Lebanon Methodist Church & was a former deacon at Corydon Church of Christ. He participated in a bowling league and horseshoe team. Buddy loved basketball; he had a court close wherever he lived, and  was a big IU fan. He was a lifelong fisherman and always on the search for "Ole Moe." He enjoyed cornhole, carrom and playing games with his family.

Sons- Danny Dixon of Paoli, Randy Dixon & wife, Rhonda of Laconia & Gary Dixon & wife, Amy of Paoli, Bruce Horste & wife, Melanie of Indianapolis, Steve Horste & Kent Horste both of Mooresville

Daughters- Peggy Myers & husband, Bobby of Hardinsburg, Janet Dixon of Paoli & Linda Wiley & husband, Dave of Corydon

Grandchildren- Michael Myers, Julie Green, Jason Henry, Jodi Henry Chrystal Ragains, Amanda Dixon, Ryan Dixon, Rachel Conder, David Wiley, Josh Wiley, Derek Dixon, Devon Dixon, Kellie Horste, Amy Greenleaf & Hunter Horste

Buddy is preceded in death by: parents, first wife, Joyce, brothers- Bill Dixon & Jack Dixon & sister- Ruby Dixon.

Visitation will be from 10am-1pm Tuesday, August 11 at McAdams Mortuary. Funeral will follow Tuesday at 1pm at the funeral home. Bro. Lee Collins & Bro Dennis Adams will officiate, Burial will be in Concord Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Kindred Hospice, 391 Quartermaster Ct., Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
