Carl W. Stephens, 76, of Paoli, passed away December 26 at IU Health Paoli Hospital. He was born October 15, 1944 in Columbia, KY to parents, Carl E. Stephens & Zelpha (Maupin) Stephens. Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a truck driver for Reynolds Construction formerly of Orleans. He was a member of Paoli Wesleyan church, Orleans American Legion Post 69 and Marengo Masonic Lodge #475.

Son, Kevin Stephens of Paoli
Sister, Patricia Stephens of Jeffersonville
Brother, James Stephens of Fredericksburg
Grandchildren: Laken White, Kaitlin Newforth both of Spencer, Keegan Stephens of Palmyra, Kyann Stephens of Paoli, Kenleigh Edge & Heidi Hickman both of Madison
Great Grandchildren: Aaliyah, Harleigh & Rhett White, Luke & Levi Newforth & Noelle & Drayden Grissom
He is preceded in death by: parents, granddaughter Kaylea Hickman and sisters, Connie Moffatt & Judy Ann Stephens.
Visitation will be 4-7pm Friday, January 1 at McAdams Mortuary, Funeral will be Saturday, January 2 at 1pm at the funeral home. Bro. Clifton Coulter, Ray Trinkle & George Payconog will officiate. Burial will be in Kays Chapel Cemetery of Hardinsburg. McAdams Mortuary is following CDC guidelines regarding the Coronavirus pandemic. Attendance will be limited to 25 guests at a time. Guests are required to wear masks and practice social distancing (6 ft). If you are showing symptoms of illness (fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting or diarrhea) please do not attend.
