Ermel Bryan Allen

Ermel Bryan Allen, age 84, of Paoli, passed away on March 31, 2023 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital of New Albany. He was born February 19, 1939 in English parents Torance and Faye (Allstott) Allen. He married Alta Marie Busick October 14, 1961. Ermel was a US Air Force veteran. He retired from English Hardware and worked for 19 years at Carpenter Body Works formerly of Mitchell. He also formerly worked for Cornwells and as a custodian for Paoli Community Schools. Ermel was a member of Cooks Chapel Church where he was the church superintendent. He enjoyed gardening, and working in his yard. fishing and hunting.

He is survived by:

Wife- Alta Marie Allen of Paoli.

Sons- Bryan James Allen (Vickie) and Kevin Shane Allen all of Paoli

Siblings - Bill Allen of Tennessee, Lola Deich of Eckerty, Lila Allen of Loogootee, and Ronnie Allen of Columbus

Two grandchildren- Ashley Allen of Jeffersonville and Alyssa Allen of Paoli

Ermel was preceded in death by his parents and siblings- Oral Allen, Earl Allen, Howard Allen, Fred Allen, Bob Allen, Roberta Morgan, and an infant sister.

Visitation for Ermel Bryan Allen will be Monday, April 10 from 4 to 7 PM at McAdams Mortuary. The funeral will be 1 PM Tuesday, April 11 at McAdams Mortuary. Brother Donald Staten will officiate Burial will be in Paoli Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Cooks Chapel Church 8247 South State Rd. 37 in Paoli, IN 47454.
