Garland "Shawn" Collins

Garland "Shawn" Collins, age 64 of English, passed away on January 10, 2025 at his home. He was born in Dayton, OH on January 10, 1961 to Harry & Charlotte (Meece) Collins. Shawn married Faye Dillard Collins on May 25, 2022. He was formerly a head Chaplain for the Florida State Prison for over 19 years and was a member of the Christian Faith. Shawn enjoyed fishing, golfing, and singing. He cherished his faith and family and led all his children to the Lord. He was active in children's ministry with VBS and camps.

Survivors include his wife - Faye Collins of English, daughters - Kyla Maness (Jed) of Jupiter, FL & Alicia Gryskiewicz (Jon) of Stuart, FL, sons - Brandon Collins (Cara) of Palm City, FL & Aaron Collins (Sara) of Houston, TX, brother - Stewart Collins (Kim) of Bonifay, FL, mother of his children - Lucia Collins of Palm City, FL, step-daughters - Shyannah Cortner of Rockford, IL & Starla Shawn Yeomans of Hot Springs, AR, step-son - Andrew Yeomans (Gabriel) of Hot Springs, AR, grandchildren - Charlotte, Mitchell, Abe, Emilia, Ezra, Ava, & Ella, step-grandchildren - Ariana, Michael, Journey, Aria, & Waya.

He is preceded in death by his parents & brother - Scott Collins

The visitation for Garland "Shawn" Collins will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 11 am - 1 pm at McAdams Mortuary. The funeral will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home.
