Genevieve "Gennie" (Roach) Mackey

Genevieve "Gennie" Mackey, 91 of Paoli, passed away October 28, 2022 at her home. She was born August 21, 1931 in Orangeville to parents William and Elizabeth (Sanders) Roach. She married Charlie Mackey June 1, 1985. Gennie was employed at Orange County Hospital as a dietary technician and also at Wilson’s laundromat formally of Paoli. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church of French Lick. She enjoyed quilting, caneing, fishing, cooking and mushroom hunting.

Survivors include:

Daughters- Connie Walker (Robert) of Paoli, Cindy Steinberger of Paoli and Melinda Riley (Scott) of Hardinsburg

Sons- Willard Walton (Rita) of Campbellsburg and Perry Walton of Paoli

Grandchildren- Kimberly Lawyer (Randy) of Orleans, Stephanie Parks (Allen) of Jasper, Troy McBride (Diana) of Paoli,  Todd McBride of Paoli,  Jennifer Smith (Wayne) of Paoli, Jessica Pate of Bedford,  Vanessa Patton (Scott) of Paoli,  Tyler Walton (Ashley) of Paoli,  Zach Walton of Paoli,  Victoria Todd (Maverick) of Paoli, Ryan Walton of Paoli, Shannon Lambert (Robbie) of Paoli and Adam Walton of Salem

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings- Arthur Roach, Glennwood Roach, Casel Roach, Edmund Roach, Anna Moore, Olive Smart, Betty Grim, Lula Patton & Estelle Gehl.

Visitation for Genevieve "Gennie" Mackey will be from 5-7pm Tuesday, November 1 at McAdams Mortuary. The Funeral will be 1pm, Wednesday, November 2 at the funeral home.
