George "Doug" Sneed

George “Doug” Sneed, age 63, of Paoli, passed away on January 21, 2025, at IU Health Paoli Hospital. Born in Louisville, KY, on December 7, 1961, he was the son of Andy and Charlesetta (Witt) Sneed. On November 25, 1998, Doug married Lisa Kersey, with whom he shared a loving partnership for over two decades.

Doug worked part-time for Gillmore Cabins and was well-known for his love of motorcycles. He participated in numerous charity rides and biker events and was a proud, long-time member of ABATE, where he previously served as the county representative. Beyond his passion for riding, Doug enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, and cherishing time with his close-knit family.

Doug is survived by his wife, Lisa Sneed of Paoli, and his children: Lori Sneed Morgan of Orleans, David Robinson of Kentucky,  Kimberly Kellems of French Lick & Bobby Sneed Edwards (Ashley) of Paoli

He was a devoted grandfather to: Adam Morgan and Katie Jarvis Morgan, both of Orleans, Derek Robinson of Kentucky and Brailyn Robinson, of Hardinsburg, Kylie Kellems of French Lick, Brooklynn Edwards of Bloomington, Owen Edwards of Paoli, Tanner Edwards, Trenton Edwards, and Trey Edwards, all of Paoli

Doug is also survived by his sister, Kim Ferran of Paoli, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son- Eric Sneed; grandson, Dayton Edwards; his brothers, Chuck Sneed and Tony Sneed; and sister Christie Sneed.

A visitation for George “Doug” Sneed will be held on Sunday, January 26, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM at McAdams Mortuary, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
