Glennis D. Hess, age 79, passed away on March 6, 2022 at Baptist Health Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born February 8, 1943 in Crawford County to parents James "Bud" & Lora "Joy" (Duke) Hess. He married Esther Marie Moon on March 30, 1961. He was the owner and operator of G & E Auto Repairs. Glennis also had worked at Carpenter Body Works formerly of Mitchell. He was a founding member and served on the board for Paoli First Chance Center. He was a member of the Paoli Church of Christ and the band "The Moon and Stars;" where he enjoyed traveling and playing the fiddle.

Sons: Bryan Hess of Orleans; Chad Hess and wife, Hilda of Ferdinand; and Brent Hess of Paoli
Daughters: Glenda Mahuron and husband, James of Campbellsburg; Melissa Hurst and husband, Brian of Salem; and Marva Andrews of Bromer
Brothers: Roger Hess of Salem & Dallas Hess and wife, Christina of Marengo
Sister: Jennifer Smith of English
Grandchildren: Darin Hess of Paoli, Cory Hess of Orleans, Bryanna White of Hardinsburg, Jacob Mahuron of Delaware, Alissa Terrell of Paoli, Lana Terrell of Paoli, Evan Apple of Mitchell, Logan Hess of Orleans, Zachary Andrews, James Andrews, Elijah Andrews, and Eden Andrews.

Glennis is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brother-in-laws: Marvin, Donald, Curtis, & Gerald Moon, Sister-in-law: Margie Madden, Son-in-law: Doug Apple, & Father and mother-in-law John & Geneva Moon.
Visitation will be from 3-8pm, Wednesday, March 9, at McAdams Mortuary. Funeral will be 11am Thursday, March 10, at the funeral home. Bros. Denny Moon & Lee Collins will officiate.
