John Joseph Bennett, 87, of Paoli, passed away at Springs Valley Meadows on January 10, 2025. Born on February 14, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of John Bennett and Mary (McNally) Bennett. John lived most of his life in Elyria, OH. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Navy veteran. He built a successful career as an AT&T operations supervisor before retiring. His faith was central to his life, and he was a dedicated member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Paoli.
John was united in marriage to Rosella Mae (Toby) Bennett on June 17, 1961, and they shared many wonderful years. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosella Mae Bennett of Paoli; two daughters, Patricia A. Bennett (Richard M. Gold) of Trumbull, CT, and Therese Marie Love (Robert Teague) of Roanoke, AL; one brother, Joseph Bennett (Jean) of New London, OH; grandchildren, Danielle (Jack), Brittany (Heath), Jonathan (Sierra) & Randi (Jody); nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Uncle Joseph Bennett, his son, Baby Boy Bennett; and his sister, Barbara Fergo.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Paoli, with Father Randy Summers and Deacon James O’Connell officiating. Burial will follow at Paoli Community Cemetery.
