John Howard Gardiner

John Howard Gardiner, age 86 of Marengo, passed away on November 16, 2024 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. He was born on October 26, 1938 to parents Howard Selwyn Gardiner & Elizabeth (Easterday) Gardiner. John married Dorothy B. Gardiner on May 26, 1961 and she preceded him in death in 2022. He was a proud veteran of the Air National Guard and retired from the University of Louisville, where he managed food services. He was also the owner and operator of Daveco, formerly of Paoli. In addition to his professional achievements, John had a passion for antique cars, which brought him great joy throughout his life.

Son - John David Gardiner of Marengo

Sister - Beverly Wilson of St. Petersburg, FL

Granddaughter - Sage Gardiner of Paoli

John was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother - Michael Gardiner.
