Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty Holiday; mother and father-in-law, Johnny Paul and Katherine Minton; niece, Maryanne Holiday and Maryanne’s infant daughter Isabella.
Joyce is survived by the love of her life - her husband of 48 ½ years, Ricky Minton;
Son, Shane (Melissa) Minton;
Daughter, Carri (Mark) Minton Schmitz;
Granddaughters, Halle and Hannah Minton, Amelia and Camille Schmitz;
Brother, Tom (Rita) Holiday;
Several nieces and nephews.
Joyce was a 1971 graduate of Paoli High School. She worked as a teacher's aid at Throop Elementary School for 19 years. Joyce was member of Oak Hill Baptist Church of Evansville and enjoyed fellowshipping with her fellow Sunday school class members so much. She loved studying God’s Word, was a faithful prayer warrior, an avid reader, and enjoyed cooking, loved cuddling with and buying toys for her two cats – Roxie and Boots, texting “The Fabulous Five” (consisting of herself and her four granddaughters). Most of all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends. Her deep love for Jesus was apparent in all that she did, in all that she said, in the life she lived, and in the way she loved others.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1p.m. E.T. Monday, August 24, 2020, at Paoli Community Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Jeff Harford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local animal shelter. McAdams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
