Lavetta R. Lawyer, 63 of French Lick passed away February 6, 2020 at her home. She was born February 1, 1957 in Salem to parents, William Clyde & Leatha (Phillips) Thacker. Lavetta was a retired restaurant manager for Denny's of Jasper.

She is survived by:

Daughters- Madesha Stapleton & husband, Jason of Gilmer, TX & Laura Cook & Husband Tom of Paoli

God Daughter Sagonia William of Shoals

Grandchildren- Levan Stapleton, Layla Stapleton both of Gilmer, TX, Xander Cook & Bentleigh Cook both of Paoli Canaan Stapleton & Sawyer Stapleton both of Gilmer, TX

Lavetta is preceded in death by parents, companion- Felix Rainey & brother- Clyde Wayne Thacker.

Visitation will be from 12 noon-2pm Sunday, February 9 at McAdams Mortuary. Funeral will follow at 2pm at the funeral home. Bro. Jason Stapleton will officiate. Cremation will follow.
