Lewis David Rice Sr.

Lewis David Rice Sr, 79 of Paoli passed away June 15, 2023 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital of New Albany. He was born on March 14, 1944 in New Albany to parents, Lewis & Doris (Chandler) Rice. He married Wanda Carol Osborne on November 16, 1963. Lewis was a US Navy Veteran and was retired from PC Building Materials of New Albany. He loved God, was a minister of the Church of God Prophecy, and was a member of the Church of God Prophecy of Salem. He enjoyed car shows and collecting model cars.

Wife- Wanda Rice of Paoli

Daughters- Paula Byrn (Edward) of Greenville; Lisa Dunaway of Corydon & Becky Rice of Paoli

Sons- Lewis Rice Jr. of Paoli & Matthew Rice (Melissa) of Hardinsburg

Sisters- Phillis Rice of Little York & Margaret Diaz of Milltown

Lewis is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter- Jeanette Reichle, brothers- Wayne & Eddie Rice & sister- Beverly Doty.

Visitation for Lewis Rice Sr. will be from 4-7 pm Thursday, June 22 at McAdams Mortuary. The funeral will be 1 pm Friday, June 23 at the funeral home. Visitation will be Friday from 10 am-1 pm the service time. Bishop Glenn Jordan & Bishop Tim Harper will officiate. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Garden of Bedford.
