Martha Jean Kairchner

Martha Jean Kairchner, age 94 of Muncie formerly of Highland, passed away on October 2, 2023 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. She was born on February 25, 1929 in Paoli to parents Wayne Newlin & Mary (Walton) Newlin. Martha married John H. Kairchner Jr. on May 10, 1947 who preceded her in death on June 30, 2019. She was a homemaker who loved gatherings with family and friends more than anything else. Writing correspondence with her loved ones and keeping up with friends from her childhood were a close second. She was a loving mother, Grandma and loved by many.

Daughter: Sherilyn Remijan (James) of Yorktown

Grandchildren: Monica Harder, Stephanie Szmuc, Julie Fabia, & Michael Remijan

Brother: David Newlin Sr. of Paoli

Son in Law: Wally Taylor

Great Grandson: Zachary Szmuc

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter: Diana Taylor

The visitation for Martha Jean Kairchner will be on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 12-1pm at McAdams Mortuary. The funeral will follow at 1pm at the funeral home. Bro. Harvey McAdams will officiate. Burial will be in the Paoli Community Cemetery. For condolences visit mcadamsmortuary.com
