Marty O. Holub

Marty O. Holub, 63, of Orleans, passed away December 17 at IU Health Bedford Hospital. He was born March 4, 1957 in Pontiac, IL to parents, J. Harvey & Geraldine M. (Mason) Holub. Marty was a bus driver for Paoli Community School Corporation and a former employee of Paoli Inc. formerly of Orleans. He was an avid outdoorsman and played harmonica and guitar. He was an active member of Gospel Light Baptist Church of Orleans and enjoyed participating in their nursing home ministry.

Marty is survived by: his mother, Geraldine Holub of Spring Valley, IL; daughter, Marcy Holub of Jerseyville, IL; brothers, Hank Holub (Dianne) of Pontiac, IL, Jeff Holub ( Becky) of Grand Rapids, MI, Kerry Holub of Rapids City, IL  & Steve Holub (Sally) of Silvis, IL; sister, Laurie Burke of Pella, IA, and several aunts uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews

He is preceded in death by his father, J. Harvey Holub.

A local memorial service will be held at 2pm Sunday December 27 at Gospel Light Baptist Church of Orleans. Officiating will be Pastor Kaleb Hoover. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Gospel Light Baptist Church: 2569 N. State Rd. 337, Orleans, IN 47452. There will also be a memorial service 1:30 pm Wednesday, December 23 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 3194 Hwy 251, LaSalle, IL Arrangements by McAdams Mortuary.
