Oma Lea McLane, 92, of French Lick, passed away at her home on September 1, 2024. Born on December 24, 1931 in Shoals, to Miles and Hannah Lucille (DeLong) Moss, Oma lived a long and full life. She married James E. McLane Jr., who preceded her in death.

Oma worked at RCA, the Sheraton Hotel formerly of French Lick at Northwood, Medco, and as a dedicated caretaker. Beyond her work, Oma was passionate about spending time with her family, gardening, reading, and always hoping for that winning lottery ticket.

She is survived by her children, Charles McLane (Anna), Kenneth McLane (Melva); her sisters, Emma Backus and Patty Steinberger (George); her brother, Ralph Moss (Alice). Oma was also blessed with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sons, Ronnie McLane, Dale McLane, and Peter John McLane; and her daughters, Teresa McLane, Joyce McLane, and Mary Tomlinson; brothers- Osby Moss, Gene Moss, Lowell Moss and Charlie Moss and her sister, Shirley Backus.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 6, at Mount Lebanon Cemetery of French Lick. Officiating will be Bro. John Moffatt. Burial will follow at the cemetery.
