Richard Frederick Gugel Jr.

Richard Frederick Gugel Jr. passed away December 8, 2021 at his daughter's home in West Baden. He was born March 1, 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan to parents Richard Frederick Adam & Elfriede Hedwig (Finke) Gugel. He first married Louise Christine Felzke Gugel on June 24, 1957. She preceded in death on November 9, 1997. He then married Margaret Ann Reinke Gugel December 27, 1998. Richard was a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired employee of Crane Naval Base and a member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Salem. He was also a minister and a school teacher.

Wife - Margaret Ann Gugel of French Lick

Daughters - Valerie Goodpaster (Walter) of West Baden, Julia Vendrely (Scott) of Solisbury, & Claudia Bleth (Jacob) of Durango, Colorado

Sons - Hugh Gugel (Peggy) of Salem & Ned Gugel (Cheryl) of Paoli

Step Daughters - M'Liss Evans of Midland, Texas & D'Lorah Evans of Odessa, Texas

Step Sons - David Evans of Odessa Texas & Craig Evans (Caroline) of Young Harris, Gerogia

21 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren

Richard was preceded in death by an infant son

Visitation will be Friday, December 10, from 4-7 pm  at McAdams Mortuary. Funeral will be Saturday, December 11 at 2 pm at the St. Paul Wegan Lutheran Church in Brownstown, IN. Pastor Martin Keller will officiate. Burial will be at the St. Paul Wegan Lutheran Cemetery. For condolences visit mcadamsmortuary.com
