Willard T. Sneed

Willard T. Sneed, age 84, of Paoli, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2023, at his home. Born on May 2, 1939, in Marion County, Kentucky, he was the son of Robert Sneed and Addie Mae (Simpson) Sneed. On November 15, 1958, Willard married the love of his life, Doris L. Ferren, and their union was a testament to enduring love.

Willard dedicated his career as a lineman for Electricom of Paoli, retiring with a sense of accomplishment after years of service. He was a faithful Christian and attended the Paoli Wesleyan Church. He also contributed to the community as a former Board of Director member for the Free From Within Center of Corydon.

He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Sneed, of Paoli, and his children: Bonita Price  (Gary) of Hardinsburg, Teresa Knight (Doug) of Paoli, James Sneed (Kathy) of Paoli, & Carl Sneed (Bridget) of Orleans. Additionally, he leaves behind his sisters, Pearl Hamby (Mike) of Georgetown & Mary Hamby of Palmyra. Willard’s legacy continues through his 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Willard Dale Sneed, and brothers Elzie, James O.D., Ray, Carl, Donnie, and Andy Sneed.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, from 4 pm to 7 pm at McAdams Mortuary, and the funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 28, at 1 PM at the Paoli Wesleyan Church. Friends may call at the church after 11 am until service time. Brothers Bob England and Harvey McAdams will officiate, with burial following at the Paoli Community Cemetery.
